My Favorite Hobby

Based off of the image you clicked, you can probably already tell that my favorite hobby is playing basketball

• For those who don't know what basketball is, it's a sport that involves a ball that you dribble with one hand only but you can switch hands each time. What you do is theres offense (guy with ball), and defense (guy that tried to get the ball). The trick for defense is they can't hit the offense or thats what you call foul. The offense has to dribble the ball to the hoop and shoot the ball into the basket which is why it's called basketball.

• There are lines on the court that indicates how many points you get when you shoot. The most common one is the 3 point line which is 23 feet away from the hoop. If you shoot behind the line it's 3 point, but if you shoot past the line then it's 2 points, touching the 3 point line with your feet counts as 2 points since you're technically going over the line.

• Then there are free throws. Free throws are shot you shoot when the other team fouls on you which is like hitting anything on your body besides the ball. Free throws are worth 1 point and there are originally 2 free throws a foul. (Example Below)

• The reason I like basketball is because of the physical contact you do in the the game and the satisfaction when shooting the ball and scoring it. Also because of the dribbling techniques and skills you obtain will playing. Another reason why I like it is you can show other people you know how to play it and the abilities I have with the ball.
